Cat wakes up owner just in time before house burnt down from stove being on: ' She saved our house, but more importantly she saved my wife'

Boiling peanuts never looked so risky. 

A house fire could start so easily. It really just takes something so simple and suddenly everything you know and love is burnt to the ground. A house fire is something that really just happens by chance, but it's always important to try and prevent it. In the story below, a house fire would have happened and burnt everything to the ground if it hadn't been for one smart kitty. While the husband was at work, his wife was mindlessly boiling peanuts. She fell asleep while the stove was on, which is obvious in hindsight not to do, but we all have these things happens to us once in a while. Her cat wakes her up and she realizes the smell of smoke permeating the air. The peanuts have all burnt down, there's no water left in the pot, and the stove was minutes away from combustion. The cat woke her up just in time before the flames started. There wasn't any real damage, just no peanuts. They love this cat endlessly, and now they can love her ever more. She saved the woman's life, and she saved their home. Cats are extraordinary creatures, and their wisdom is something we have a lot to learn from.

  • Cats really are smarter than we think. The phrase “animal instincts” aren't meaningless. We have them as humans as well, but there are so many things we can't put our fingers on in other animals. For example, I know that my cat always senses things I can't. He really has a knack for knowing who's a good person and who isn't trustworthy. It only takes them going into my apartment, and I just have to watch how my cat acts. There's nothing more beautiful than being able to use my cat as another test to the universe, and seeing him bond and understand the world in ways I can't.
